  • Recycled, cardboard, clean, pre-used, empty Cylindrical Yarn Cones blanks
  • SMALL size, CYLINDRICAL cones 
  • Recycled cones that once carried the yarns and fibres for the Folly Flora Creative Threads packs.
  • Height 17-18cms tall, base is 7cms diameter tapering to a variable 3-4.5cms diameter at the top. ie; some cones are narrower at the top than others, different packs may contain mixed sizes
  • They have been stored in bags in a clean, dry, smoke free environment.
  • Made from grey/beige sturdy cardboard 2/3.5mm thick.
  • Pack of 10 cones

USES of CARDBOARD YARN CONE BLANKS

Use your creative inspiration and skills to recycle, repurpose and transform the cones, all you need is time and imagination!

  • Cover in pretty fabric, glue decorative paper or paint with acrylics or similar.
  • Use up all your spare bits of fabrics, felt and threads to decorate the shapes  
  • Embellish with beads, sequins, pompoms, buttons, collage and mosaics.
  • Mixed Media - they can be decorated with paint, paper, fabrics, trimmings, felt shapes, yarns and ribbons. N.B. Paint them with diluted PVA first, allow to dry, paint or stick embellishments and glitter to them. Bits and bobs adhere to the cardboard better if it is first primed with the PVA.
  • Christmas Crafts - turn into pretty Christmas table decorations. Cover in Christmas paper or wind tinsel round them, add a bauble or star to the top.
  • Turn them into a cone shaped Christmas Tree, decorate with mini pom poms, add a star to the top.
  • Transform them into pretty Christmas Angels or Top of Tree Fairies, elves, gnomes, choristers.
  • Make lovely Wedding Decorations, cover cone in fabric/ribbons, add polythene liner or similar
    for pew end cones full of flowers, and confetti holders (used wider end at top). 

SAFETY NOTICE 

Please remember to display your decorated creations made from the cardboard cones well away from open fires, stoves and flames of burning candles. KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE

For SAFETY reasons please DO NOT USE the cones as candle holders, however tempting.
