Lengths of threads are approximately 1m, 2m, 5m and 10m as per the details, unless stated otherwise. The approximate weights of the bundles/skeins may also be listed.

FOLLY FLORA FIBRES, THREADS & YARNS SELECTION PACKS
DETAILS of THREAD SELECTION PACKS & BUNDLES
Creative, inspirational bundles and selection packs of textured threads, yarns, fibres, ribbons and cords in a multitude of colours for a variety of textile art and craft projects.
Useful for weaving thrums, knitting projects, crochet work, contemporary embroidery, tapestry, needlework, mixed media, scrapbooking, journal pages, collage, art dolls, soft toy making, braid making, tassels, pom poms, fringes, couching, soft textile sculptures, card making etc.
I select the yarns from a variety of sources in the UK, the more textured or unusual the better.
They are prepared into approximately 1m lengths, assembled into small/medium/large bundles and packaged in cellophane or polythene grip seal bags (until my present stocks run out), and stored in the dark in a smoke free home environment.
Please save and reuse the packaging for yarns and other craft item storage etc.
MEASUREMENTS
Generally the lengths of the threads are approximately 1 metre (95-105cms) all tied together in a folded bundle. Described as small, medium and large bundles according to quantity and weight of yarns.
Some packs may have continuous lengths of 5m and some 'Bits and Bobs' selection packs have shorter 'left over' lengths as stated in the 'Product Details'.
The approximate minimum weight of the bundle or pack is given in grams.
CONTENTS of FOLLY FLORA FIBRES, THREADS & YARNS PACKS, CREATIVE & STASH PACKS
Multicoloured thread selections as shown in the images, in a variety of textures, weights and thicknesses.
Often with only a single strand of each coloured and textured yarn.
The composition of the threads in the packs will vary. These are generally mixed fibre selections including natural yarns - wool, cotton, linen, silk, jute and man made yarns - acrylic, polyester, viscose, glittery metallised, lurex and nylon.
Some selections may include satin ribbons, viscose ribbon yarns, cords, braids, narrow fringes.
Some packs will have multiple lengths of the same threads as stated in the 'Product Details'.
As with all the Folly Flora Packs listed in the 'Product Details' the images show the actual Pack contents.

FANCY FIBRES, NOVELTY YARN PACKS
Decorative tapes and textured threads are packed in cellophane sleeves for safe posting and storing or stashing away! Approximate lengths of yarns are 95-105cms (unless stated otherwise). NB. some elasticated fibres (if present in the pack- generally the blue and red ones) come in shorter 20-30cms unstretched lengths.
There are approximately 15-25+ lengths of fibres in each colourway bundle. Some are very delicate lurex fibres. Use as whole lengths for couching or even chopped up like confetti in mixed media art projects!
Interesting embellishments for artwork, collage projects, handmade cards, scrapbooks and journals.
PLEASE NOTE - FANCY FIBRES - DETAILS on OPENING the PACKS
These 'novelty' fibres have a 'mind of their own' and the bags need careful opening, tipping out of contents and gentle prising apart of lengths before use.
TO USE/OPEN - open the stuck down 'sticky tape' end of the cellophane pack.
Cover the sticky patch on the end with your finger or fold over out the way to stop the fibres getting stuck to it and allow the bundle of yarns to freely tip out. Hold the bundle up vertically by the securing tape and gently shake to free the fibres from one another.
Carefully cut the tape and prise the fibres apart one at a time, gently pulling them away from one another from the middle down to the free ends. NB. The lurex yarns are very friable and may break
FOLLY FLORA ELASTICATED, CURLY, COILED, TEXTURED THREADS
Creative 'fun' fibres in a variety of colours, weights and thicknesses.
These threads have 'a mind of their own' and will twist, curl and coil around one another in an uncontrolled manner! Use as single lengths (if you are able to unwind and separate them - not easy!) or as groups of twisted threads. Will probably require couching stitches to tether them down. Best not to attempt to 'sew' with them, may prove frustratingly difficult!
Approximately 0.75-1.5m lengths (75-150cms). N.B. As the fibres twist and curl round one another the length obviously shortens. Stretched out they may reach and exceed the longer length.
Mixed fibre composition may include cotton, wool, acrylic and man made fibres with elastane/elastic/rubber core.
Interesting for 'crazy, wild' dolls hair, sculpture models, collage art, couching, scrapbooking, weaving project textures, tassels, pom-poms, garlands, contemporary embroidery, mixed media textile art, fabric sculptures, experimental stitched projects and more.
COLOURS of THREADS
The threads have been photographed in natural light and I have tried to represent the colours as accurately as possible. Colours shown in the images cannot be guaranteed, computer monitors and screens vary considerably and may display colours slightly differently.
PACKAGING
The Folly Flora Fibres, Threads & Yarns are currently historically packaged in either polythene grip seal bags, cellophane sealed bags, wrapped in cellophane sleeves or in some cases 'cling film' if all else fails!
Once the present supply of these packaging products runs out I will transfer to a more sustainable packaging means, necessary to keep the fibres clean and avoid tangling.
In the meantime please reuse and recycle the bags in your craft corner, art room, work table or craft supply store /stash cupboard!
WASHING & CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Wash only if necessary. Hand wash only in tepid/cool water with a mild detergent as per wool, hand wring, drip or air dry. Do not spin dry. Do not tumble dry. . Wash separately from other items.
WASHING PRECAUTIONS!
These are commercially dyed yarns and their colour fastness cannot be guaranteed.
In a project that may require washing it is advisable to do a sample test wash with suspect darker colours first eg reds and darker shades.
NB. Some cotton yarn packs in dark colours may 'bleed' dye for first few washes. Do not use in a project that will be worn or require repeated washing. Some of these yarns are from a range designed to 'fade' with each wash to simulate the 'faded denim jeans look'. Please wash projects made from these yarns separately. These yarns have a precautionary label in the 'Product Details'.
Hand wash (only if necessary, separately from other items) in tepid/cool water with mild detergent, hand wring, drip or air dry, do not spin or tumble dry.
Assembled, packaged and stored in a smoke free environment.
