CRINKLED ELASTICATED TEXTURED YARNS

Wavy, crinkled, textured, curly, elasticated creative threads with a tendency to coil and twist uncontrollably around one another! As if they have 'mind of their own'!

'CURLY' yarns have tighter twists and coils to the 'WAVY' yarns which have a looser, undulating texture.

They are Impossible to 'sew' conventionally with. Couching with them produces interesting and fun textured effects in mixed media work and contemporary embroidery.

Useful as weft lengths in weaving samplers for adding raised decorative textures.

Use for alternative pom-poms, tassels, crazy 'art/monster doll' hair!

Knot ends and use multiple yarn lengths as alternative 'scrunchies' and hair ties.

DETAILS of ELASTICATED WAVY & CURLY YARN PACKS

Creative 'fun' fibres in a variety of colours, weights and thicknesses.

'CURLY' yarns have tighter twists and coils to the 'WAVY' yarns which have a looser, undulating texture.

These threads have 'a mind of their own' and will twist, curl and coil around one another in an uncontrolled manner! Use as single lengths (if you are able to unwind and separate them - not easy!) or as groups of twisted threads. Will probably require couching stitches to tether them down. Best not to attempt to 'sew' with them, may prove frustratingly difficult!
LENGTHS - Approximately 0.75cms - 1.5m lengths (75 - 150cms).

N.B. As the fibres twist and curl round one another the 'relaxed' length obviously shortens. Stretched out they may reach and exceed the longer listed length. The yarns are originally cut and packed at the longer stretched length, settling to a compressed shorter length due to the elastic (rubber/elastane) element 'relaxing'.
CONTENTS - Mixed fibre composition may include cotton, wool, acrylic and man made fibres with a central core of elastane/elastic/rubber.
