INFORMATION on TEAPOT COSIES & COVERS

Keep your brewing tea hotter for longer and linger over a second cup with an insulated cosy or cover for your teapot. Cosies for all teapot sizes in a variety of colourful fabrics and designs.

To prevent heat loss through the base it helps to stand the teapot on an insulated mat like wood or cork. N.B. TAKE CARE when preparing to pour the tea, the handle on a china, ceramic or stainless steel teapot may become very HOT under the insulating tea cosy!

Please note the teapots in the images are for illustration purposes only and are not included in the purchase price of any of the tea cosies.

SIZES of TEAPOT COSIES & COVERS - CHECK YOUR TEAPOT'S DIMENSIONS

There are many styles of teapots and the dimensions may vary considerably even between 'standard' small, medium and large sizes. These cosies may not be a perfect fit for your teapot.

To check if a cosy will fit your teapot, please take the dimensions of your pot and compare them with the measurements given in the product details before purchase.

  • VOLUME as specified by manufacturer or use a measuring jug to check
  • HEIGHT from base of teapot to top of lid
  • DEPTH from front to back of body
  • LENGTH from the tip of the spout to the outer handle edge

If you are unsure if a cosy will fit please 'Get in Touch' and I will try to help.

MADE to MEASURE, CUSTOM ORDER

I am happy to make a cosy to fit your teapot if it is of a 'non standard' dimensions. The cost will be proportionate to and based on a comparable size as listed and the choice of outer fabric.

  • Simply measure the body volume using a measuring jug or similar,
  • circumference of your teapot at its widest point,
  • the greatest depth from front to back of the teapot body,
  • the height from the base of the pot to the top of the lid, and
  • the widest length from the tip of the spout to the outer edge of handle

WASH & CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • The cosies can be hand or machine washed at a low temperature setting (as per wool),
  • gentle spin only or preferably hand wring.

  • For ALL COSIES - DO NOT SPIN DRY, DO NOT TUMBLE DRY
  • Iron outer fabric on low/medium heat only if necessary.

N.B. Additional Wash and Care Instructions for COSIES in DARK coloured fabrics.

  • Dark colours may bleed/run in warm/hot water washes and affect other garments. Particularly dark reds, greens and indigo blues.
  • It is advisable to HAND WASH DARK COLOURS SEPARATELY from other items in cool/lukewarm water for at least the first few washes until dye running, (if present), is no longer evident.
