CARE & WASHING INSTRUCTIONS for SCARVES, SHAWLS & WRAPS

Please refer to individual 'Product Listings' for specific instructions for the item's fabric.

For Chiffon, Georgette, polyester mesh/lace, cotton gauze/lace fabrics.

  • HAND WASH ONLY in lukewarm water with a mild detergent.
  • Gentle hand wring only or leave excess rinsing water to drain naturally.
  • Do not spin dry. Do not tumble dry.
  • Shake gently or pull to shape and drape over rounded support to drip dry in air.
  • (N.B. If present allow FRINGE of tassels, pom-poms, threads to hang freely vertically when drying).
  • Or lay flat and allow to dry over an absorbent towel.
  • Iron on LOW heat setting ONLY if necessary.

PRECAUTIONS

NB. Take care with your jewellery, pointed objects, rough surfaces and sharp/jagged nails. The fabric for some of the scarves (especially the lightweight, flimsy, floaty chiffon and georgette material) is quite delicate and the fibres will 'pull' if snagged. To repair the damage the fibres may be gently manipulated back into position by lightly stretching the fabric along the line of the 'pulled' fibres.

KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE - SAFETY ADVICE

Take care to keep the long loop, tassels etc and 'floaty' free ends of the scarf/shawl away from open fires, hot stoves, hand held fireworks (sparklers), bonfire flames, lit candles and similar.
